About the Author: Prof. Alexander Pogrebnjak is a Head of Nanoelectronics Department at Sumy State University, Ukraine. His scientific interests include nanocomposite and layered coatings; high-entropy alloy nitrides, improving the physical, mechanical and chemical properties of materials using nano-scale films, and modifying the properties of metals and alloys using high-power particle beams. Prof. Pogrebnjak has authored or co-authored 14 book chapters and over 300 peer-reviewed research articles.
Prof. Maksym Pogorielov, Ph.D., M.D., is Head of the Research Center and Leader of Biomaterials Research Group at Sumy State University, Ukraine, as well as Coordinator of Research Programs in biotech company NanoPrime (Debica, Poland). His research focuses on the development and assessment of biomaterials for medical purposes - tissue engineering constructions, dental and orthopedic implants, new coatings, hemostatic agents, drug delivery systems, antibacterial nanoparticles and nanosystems.
Dr. Roman Viter, Ph.D., is a leading researcher and head of the 'Optical biosensors and functional nanomaterials' laboratory at the Institute of Atomic Physics and Spectroscopy, University of Latvia. His research interests include the deposition of nanostructures via sol-gel and ALD, characterization of the structure and optical properties of metal oxide nanostructures, and non-invasive optical methods for monitoring the degradation of nanostructures.
