About the Author: Dr. Ram Gupta is an Associate Professor at Pittsburg State University. Before joining Pittsburg State University, he worked as an Assistant Research Professor at Missouri State University, Springfield, MO, then as a Senior Research Scientist at North Carolina A&T State University, Greensboro, NC. Dr. Gupta's research focuses on green energy production and storage using conducting polymers and composites, electrocatalysts, fuel cells, supercapacitors, batteries, nanomaterials, optoelectronics and photovoltaics devices, organic-inorganic hetero-junctions for sensors, nanomagnetism, bio-based polymers, bio-compatible nanofibers for tissue regeneration, scaffold and antibacterial applications, bio-degradable metallic implants. Dr. Gupta has published over 250 peer-reviewed articles, made over 350 national/international/regional presentations, chaired many sessions at national/international meetings, wrote several book chapters (55+), worked as editor for many books (20+) for American Chemical Society, CRC, and Elsevier publishers, and received over two million dollars for research and educational activities from external agencies. He has served as associate editor, guest editor, and editorial board member for various journals.
