Magisterarbeit aus dem Jahr 2006 im Fachbereich Soziologie - Individuum, Gruppe, Gesellschaft, Note: 1,0, FernUniversität Hagen (Soziologie), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: In den alltäglichen Erzählungen liegt ein großes Potenzial für die Sozialisation der Individuen, und durch diese "Narrationen" werden wichtige Sozialisationsleistungen erbracht, d.h. sie haben entscheidenden Einfluss darauf, wie aus einem Individuum ein Mitglied seiner Gesellschaft wird. Da diese nahe liegende Behauptung bisher wenig wissenschaftliche und kaum eine soziologische Bearbeitung gefunden hat, mache ich sie zur Grundthese dieser Arbeit und stütze sie anhand geeigneter theoretischer Konzepte und empirischer Untersuchungen. Die zaghaften Ansätze einer "narrativen Sozialisation" aus verschiedenen Disziplinen (Erzählforschung, Kulturpsychologie, Entwicklungspsychologie) sollen auf diese Weise in einen soziologischen Rahmen integriert, und letztlich soll ein soziologisches Verständnis von narrativer Sozialisation etabliert werden. Der dazu notwendige rote Faden bietet sich in einem interaktiven Verständnis von Sozialisation als ständige Wechselwirkung zwischen Individuum und Gesellschaft. Aus diesem Grunde interessieren vor allem Erzählungen als soziale Interaktionen und nicht medial vermittelte Geschichten. Nach einer Einführung in die Begriffswelt und einer Untersuchung der sozialen Funktionen von Narrationen werden die Sozialisationstheorien von G. H. Mead und L. S. Wygotski aufgegriffen und ihre interaktiven Konzepte auf eine "Sozialisation durch Narrationen" angewendet. Den zentralen Teil bilden J. Bruners Überlegungen zur frühkindlichen Sozialisation des Erzählens als Hineinwachsen in Sinn- und Bedeutungssysteme sowie P. J. Millers Untersuchungen von Erzählungen im familiären Umfeld und ihr daraus abgeleitetes Modell einer "Sozialisation durch sprachlichen Diskurs". Miller erklärt Erzählungen als "Methode" von Sozialisation, und für sie ist Erzählerwerb letzlich eine Folge von Sozialisat
