So und ähnlich sieht die heutige Resonanz auf die vor über 125 Jahren entwickelte "natürliche" Sprachlernmethode nach Lambert Sauveur und Maximilian Berlitz aus. Diese Art der Fremdsprachenvermittlung ist nach wie vor beliebt und erfolgreich. Die Entwicklung der Natürlichen Methode Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts stellte eine Revolution auf dem Gebiet der Sprachlehrmethoden dar. Auch heute noch wird nach den Ansätzen Sauveurs und Berlitz' unterrichtet, wenn auch meist in abgewandelter Form. Die vorliegende Seminararbeit beschäftigt sich mit diesen Ansätzen. Zunächst wird erläutert, vor welchem Hintergrund die "Natürliche Methode" der Fremdsprachenvermittlung entstanden ist und welche Theorien ihr zugrundeliegen.
