About the Book

The Naughtiest Girl Is A Monitor follows Elizabeth into her boarding school, where she has been made the monitor. Dealing with naughty and snobby classmates is no easy task, and this book traces how she deals with it, despite being a naughty girl herself. Summary Of The Book The Naughtiest Girl Is A Monitor is a children's novel. This is the third book of the The Naughtiest Girl series. The Naughtiest Girl Is A Monitor revolves around Elizabeth Allen, a naughty little girl who is sent to boarding school to rectify her behavioural issues. At the school, she adjusts quite easily, and becomes the monitor of the class. Students who have any problems, now come to her for help. Elizabeth’s classmate Arabella Buckley is a bit of a snob, and the two girls don’t get along with each other at all. The protagonist finds out that Arabella doesn't share her pocket money with the rest of the students, thus breaking the Whyteleafe School’s rule. Elizabeth becomes friends with Julian, a bright young boy who spends all his time entertaining everyone with his tricks and jokes. In The Naughtiest Girl Is A Monitor, the protagonist gets to know that many people’s belongings are going missing. She comes to the conclusion that Julian is the culprit. The two of them have a fight, and Julian decides to keep playing tricks on her. He pours water droplets on her head, and stuffs her book with sneezing powder. Eventually Elizabeth gets into trouble with the teachers, and is removed as the monitor. Is Julian the real thief, or has Elizabeth made a mistake? The answers are revealed at the end of term! The Naughtiest Girl Is A Monitor was originally published in 1945. The series contains four books in total. About Enid Blyton Enid Blyton, born in 1897, was an English author who wrote books for children. She has written many books like Three Boys and a Circus, Mary Mouse and the Doll's House, The Little White Duck and Other Stories, Little Noddy Goes to Toyland, and Runaway Teddy Bear and Other Stories. Blyton wrote three types of books. The first were fantasy novels, the second were detective stories, and the third type was based on experiences in boarding schools. The author was the Head Girl of St. Christopher's School for Girls in Beckenham. She, along with her two friends, started a magazine called Dab, for which Blyton would pen down stories. In 1916, the author began studying at the Guildhall School of Music, but later decided to pursue teaching. She joined the Froebel-based teacher-training course at the Ipswich High School later that year. Her first book, Child Whispers, was published in 1922. In 1953, she launched the Enid Blyton's Magazine, a fortnightly for which she wrote the entire content. Blyton’s books have been translated into 90 languages, and have sold over 600 million copies. The author passed away in 1968, at the age of 71. In 2008, she was voted Britain's best-loved author by Costa Book Awards.

A Thrilling But Totally Believable Murder Mystery

Read this in one evening. I had planned to do other things with my day, but it was impossible to put down. Every time I tried, I was drawn back to it in less than 5 minutes. I sobbed my eyes out the entire last 100 pages. Highly recommend!
