Personal relationships and associations are part of what makes us human, but few people understand how their relationships evolve-or how they might end. Wouldn't it be comforting if we could predict, with accuracy, which relationships will be stable and fulfilling, and which are dead ends or heading for disaster?
Navigating the Seas of Human Connection offers an insightful new method for understanding, evaluating, and predicting our personal relationships, from casual work associations to long-term romances.
College professor and clinical psychologist Larry J. Powitz, EdD, applies thirty-eight years of experience to the problem of interpersonal relationships, stripping away complicated academic language and presenting a simple road map to the relationship landscape.
Powitz skillfully divides relationships into categories and levels of intensity, each with its own description, method of analysis, and possible significance to your interpersonal world.
Powerful, compelling, and easy to read, Navigating the Seas of Human Connection offers a chance to understand existing relationships while seeking out new, fulfilling connections. You'll learn to identify what to expect from others, predict possible outcomes, and simply be at peace with the quality and nature of the relationships you cultivate.
