It made Agnes de Mille famous with Rodeo and brought George Balanchine back from Broadway to create Danses Concertantes, Night Shadow, and Raymonda. Other choreographers included Frederick Ashton, Bronislava Nijinska, Ruth Page, and Valerie Bettis.
