About the Book

Ezra is a prehistoric Renaissance man--a genius inventor, artist, and healer. His gifts and skills come from a desert well, which acts as a portal to a more advanced civilization in another galaxy. When his daughter, Kora, falls into the well, becoming exposed to mysterious forces and energies, Ezra sacrifices himself to prevent her from dying. Kora is saved but transformed into a demon hungry for human suffering. To mark her transition, she renames herself Idolatra. In order to attain the perpetual suffering she desires, she utilizes her father's technology, the knowledge he recorded in his notebook, and her own understanding of human genetics (which she obtained in the portal), to create a terrifying hybrid army--half animal, half human. Idolatra uses her army to impose a new world order based on injustice, corruption, manipulative organized religion, inadequate and corrupted royalty, slavery, greed, and war.

While Queen Idolatra constructs her violent new world order, a nomadic community who manages to escape persecution rescues Ezra's other daughter, baby Niskala from the Queen's iron grasp. As a child, Niskala displays gifts similar to Ezra's, skills that attract the attention of the Queen's high priest. He spares Niskala's village in exchange for her services for the benefit of the Queen's army. After a decade of Niskala's servitude, she becomes severely ill, and learns that the mysterious cause of her condition can be discovered in the subconscious realm of her own mind. Practicing lucid dreaming, Niskala interacts with dream-entities (archetypes): a child, hero, shadow, sage, wizard (Tesla), a seer, and a healer (Karl Gustav Jung). From each entity Niskala learns crucial information about herself, her priorities, and what she truly stands for. She learns the source of her inner dispute and illness, the opposing forces tearing her in two separate directions. By aiding the despot Idolatra, she secures the safety of her own people, but keeps countless others in states of suffering and danger. She must defy Idolatra to resolve her conflict and become cured. But is young Niskala ready for such a difficult mission?
