About the Book

Kimberley agreed to accompany Duke Chester Spencer to England and gave up on trying ending her life by committing suicide. Duke Chester felt pity towards the girl and there was something he felt that attracted him to her, she was very unique and special, she wasn't like any other girl having such pride. Duke Chester suggested to teach his new slave martial arts so that instead of being a prey to many men, she could defend herself on her own, therefore he kept her by his side and taught her everything he learned and she proved to be a very fast learner as well as a very talented poet, indeed the duke heard the girl composing a poem and he started to fall in love with her and day by day he was no more able to step away from her and despite the fact that his marriage was very soon, the duke couldn't stop thinking of Kimberley and he forgot about all his duties and was watching her wherever she went. But people around them started to suspect their relationship and the bride to be heard the rumours and jealousy started to influence her deeds especially after a maiden spied on the duke and Kimberley while they were kissing. Duke Chester suffered a lot in order to reach his position as a duke and the father of his bride to be was the one who helped him and the reason he gained his power and title as well as peer. Kimberley tried a lot to stay away from the duke but whenever she would step back, he wouldn't let her be. Therefore, she thought that she had to disappear so that he would live happily with his bride to be. Indeed, Kimberley heard the maidens talking about a mission the duke would go to overseas, to catch a pirate named Jean, that pirate was notorious of smuggling and involved in many slavery deals. And as soon as she found out about that mission, she thought it would be an opportunity to leave the duke and let him live his life happily so she went to meet lady Persley, the bride to be and told her about her plan, the latter liked the idea and supported it then helped Kimberley disguise and get on the ship. But when they were in the middle of the sea, the ship was hit by the pirates and Kimberly was revealed by the duke but soon later, she lost her balance and fell down the water, the duke was about to save her but the pirates were faster and they managed to abduct Kimberley instead.
