About the Book

NOT a Brave New World is a fictional memoir spanning the whole of the 21st century: one man's frank account, sometimes acutely painful and sometimes surprisingly joyful, of his three partners, and his career in international diplomacy working to tackle the rich-poor divide. Book Three - Lizette: Third time lucky - Kip Fenn finds true love. His UN career though is ending with a whimper. Another terrible war is cut short by the devastating Grey Years, and while nations rebuild many individuals turn Notek. In restless retirement, Kip's lifelong passion for vintage photos sees him launching a new arts institution. But who is the mysterious visitor by his bedside, and how will she affect his planned deathday? More information, reviews etc, at www.kipfenn.co.uk
About the Author: Paul was born in Hampstead, London, and studied at Cardiff University. He travelled overland across Asia, in the mid-1970s, arriving in Darwin, Australia, just in time for Cyclone Tracy which destroyed the city. After a year working as a medical rep in Dunedin, New Zealand, he worked his passage across the Pacific to Panama, and spent a year hitch-hiking around South America. On returning to London, he became involved in alternative theatre, before settling on a career in journalism. He reported on the oil industry to begin with, then moved to Brazil to act as a stringer for many publications, including The Economist. Back in London, he edited energy newsletters for the Financial Times and became increasingly interested in European Union policy and politics. For a decade, he ran his own company, publishing specialised information on EU energy, environment and transport issues. More recently, he has switched to writing about diaries, developing The Diary Junction and The Diary Review websites, and writing local history books: Brighton in Diaries and Brighton Then and Now. He has a son, Adam, in his 20s, an economist (who also maintains a blog on classic 'mind blowing books'). Paul lives in Brighton with Hattie Gordon, a writer (The Cafe After the Pub After the Funeral), and their two young sons.
