Weltkrieg, Weimarer Republik, Note: sehr gut (1,0), Universität Bielefeld (Fakultät für Geschichtswissenschaft und Philosophie), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Zu Recht werden die Jahre 1914-1924 als "unruhiges Jahrzehnt"2 bezeichnet. Die politischen, wirtschaftlichen und militärischen Ereignisse wurden von anfänglicher Euphorie begleitet, welche durch Hunger, Not, Teuerung und Mangel bald in Verzweiflung, Friedenssehnsucht und Radikalität umschlug. In der Folge kam es immer öfter zu Protesten, Unruhen, Streiks und Krawallen. Die Revolution beendete zwar das deutsche Kaiserreich und den Krieg, doch das Elend der Bevölkerung wurde durch die Jahre der nun folgenden Inflation eher noch verschärft, und erst Ende 1923, mit der Einführung der Rentenmark und dem Übergang in die Stabilisierungsphase, trat eine Besserung ein. Einen Aspekt dieser Unruhen stellte die Frauenkriminalität dar. Kurz nach Beginn des Ersten Weltkrieges wurde eine ungewöhnliche Zunahme der Frauenkriminalität, insbesondere der Eigentumsdelikte, konstatiert. Diese Zunahme verlief bis zum Ende der Hyperinflation 1923 zwar ungleichmäßig, aber doch auf einem deutlich höheren Niveau als vor dem Krieg. Die zeitgenössischen Erklärungen und Reaktionen waren sehr unterschiedlich und auch widersprüchlich - aber einig war man sich darin, dass dieser Zustand eine moralische Gefahr für das deutsche Volk sei.
