About the Book

El operativo es un relato corto que narra el tipo de allanamientos que se realizaron en la Argentina durante la Dictadura Militar del 1976 al 1983 que produjo una enorme cantidad de desaparecidos y otros tantos muertos en el país. Fue especialmente dedicado a la memoria del padre Carlos Mujica, quien nos demostró que la Fe, la Esperanza y la Caridad, no eran solo palabras huecas o cosas abstractas, a una generación tan escéptica y tan apaleada como la de los 70 en nuestro país, y también a la del soldado Carrasco cuya muerte en 1994 en sí y los conflictos generados por el mismo tuvieron repercusión a nivel socio-político en la Argentina y es considerado uno de los motivos por los cuales se suspendió la ley que establecía el servicio militar obligatorio. Otros dos cuentos también responden a este tema y están dedicados a los desaparecidos uno y a las luchas llevadas a cabo en el exterior por saber la verdad de lo que estaba sucediendo y a los hijos de ellos que tuvieron que vivir con la angustia de no saber que les sucedió a sus padres. Los demás relatos cuentan de manera novelizada otras tantas historias tan Argentinas como el tango y el mate, es más hay un cuento dedicado a las abuelas que recuerda las típicas tardes de lluvia con mate y tortas fritas, que resulta ser una masa simple de harina, agua, grasa de vaca y sal que se fríe en la misma grasa y se espolvorea con azúcar. Era el programa mas divertido para las tardes de lluvia antes de la televisión, internet y las redes sociales. Todos son puras fantasías de una generación que vivió muchos cambios y tiempos violentos, con mucho psicoanálisis de por medio, amor libre, algunas drogas, viajes y búsquedas personales complejas. Una versión Latinoamericana del 68 francés y el Flower Power. Sobre la autora: Graciela Mariani es argentina y en tiempos de la Dictadura Militar de ese país debió vivir en otras partes del mundo debido a su antigua militancia en la universidad mientras estudiaba. Es arquitecta y urbanista y escribe artículos relacionados con su profesión. Reside actualmente en su país.
