Toute langue écrite oscille entre norme, liberté et invention. Le français
est une de celles qui, pour des raisons historiques précises, connaît,
depuis plusieurs siècles, une importante tutelle de la norme, dût tel
ou telle écrivain(e) s'en être régulièrement affranchi. L'existence et la
reconnaissance croissantes des Francophonies culturelles et littéraires
modifient, à divers égards, cette donne historique. Elles transforment
peu à peu l'horizon comme le quotidien de cette langue. Une des
langues-monde, en un sens, en lieu et place de la langue universelle
chère à Rivarol.

Cet ouvrage s'attache à examiner et analyser certains effets de ces
mutations. Dans la langue bien évidemment, à partir de ce qu'on eût
jadis appelé ses « marges », comme dans la traduction. Dans ce qui
en découle pour des formes renouvelées d'enseignement, en dehors
des seuls modèles français. Dans les bilinguismes et métissages qui
traversent aujourd'hui, plus ouvertement que par le passé, textes et
imaginaires.

« Migrations », « Historicités » et « Résistances » organisent la matière
de ce livre. Celui-ci s'attache aussi bien à Assia Djebar, Abdelwahab
Meddeb ou Saphia Azzedine qu'à Natacha Appenah et Hervé
Guibert, à Aimé Césaire et Dany Laferrière qu'à Véronique Bergen
ou Marc Quaghebeur. A l'écriture des Juifs d'Algérie ou des écrivaines
amérindiennes du Québec, comme aux assisses du renouvellement de
la langue chez les fondateurs belge, suisse ou antillais des littératures
francophones.


About the Author:

Marc Quaghebeur, écrivain et critique, est Directeur honoraire des
Archives & Musée de la Littérature et Président de l'AEEF. Ses
recherches concernent l'articulation de l'Esthétique et de l'Histoire
dans les littératures française et francophones.

Cristina Robalo-Cordeiro, écrivaine et critique, a été Vice-rectrice de
l'université de Coimbra, a fondé le bureau Maghreb de l'AUF et est
Vice-présidente de l'AEEF. Ses travaux portent sur les littératures
française, francophones et lusophones.
