About the Book

For what seems like the thousandth time, I sit here looking into the fire thinking back to my past life and my experiences with the Other I. Reminiscing about the days when everything went dark and the ravaging plague that spread the feeling known as hatred began to consume everything in sight, I reach up and touch the scar on my right eye again. It serves as a reminder of my past and it gives me the push that I need to carry on. Everything always gets better, right? I closed my eyes and fell into a fitful sleep... Thus begins your entry into Griffin Clifton's freshman year at Concord City High School. A normal teen, Griffin was concerned with making friends, hanging out and the prom. His world quickly veered toward the unusual when his friends started "changing". All he wanted was to have everything and everybody in his life stay the same; no change! Illness, strange happenings and even violence began to surface in his normally quiet existence. He has been forced into a self-waged war between the forces that are trying to control his life versus those forces that are trying to control the essence of who he is. We meet our high school friends in Riley, Audrey, Fariza and his best friend Vincent. Together with Griffin we have to decide how to handle the normal changes in our lives and how to handle a life out of control. This is a psychological thriller that will have you thinking about "the other I" in your life.
About the Author: Wesley Mobley chose his career as a writer and photographer at a very young age. Although his works include poetry and essays, his most recent novel explores the complex relationship of our subconscious self as it intersects with our reality. Born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware, Wesley enjoys writing about Delaware and exposing the world to this "small wonder" through his photographs and literary works. Wesley gets his inspiration from his spiritual reflections, personal experiences and the amazing people that he has encountered throughout his life. Wesley resides in Wilmington with his family and pets.
