Nesta investigação, foi desenvolvida uma abordagem eficaz baseada na regressão linear multivariável e no método de raios X para determinar as condições óptimas que conduzem a uma porosidade mínima nas peças fundidas sob pressão da liga de alumínio AlSi9Cu3. Os resultados experimentais utilizando a matriz ortogonal Taguchi L27 foram utilizados para mapear a relação entre os parâmetros do processo e a formação de porosidade na peça fundida e para estudar o comportamento da carga de rotura de vários níveis de formação de porosidade no processo de fundição injetada a alta pressão (HPDC). Nesta investigação, foi utilizada a máquina automática TBC de 500 capacidades, a máquina de carga de rutura Zwick de 250 kN de capacidade, a máquina de raios X industrial de alta tecnologia Bosello e foi estudada a comparação dos parâmetros de processo anteriores e após a otimização dos parâmetros de processo, tendo sido também estudados os respectivos resultados. A porosidade mais baixa foi observada após a otimização dos parâmetros do processo, ou seja, o nível 1, à temperatura do forno de 690 ˚C, à temperatura do molde de 190 ˚C, à velocidade do êmbolo na primeira fase de 0,18 m/s, à velocidade do êmbolo na segunda fase de 2,6 m/s e à pressão da terceira fase de 280 bar. A carga de rotura aumentou de 8,43 kN para 19,83 kN e de 14,0 kN para 26,0 kN.
