About the Book

"Our Gods Are In Danger is a satirical novel on religious politics of animals in one imaginary jungle-Lionistan. The novel has 12 chapters with 244 pages and with 69, 663 words (typed in double space).

The story is set in the Lionistan jungle. The novel has so many funny and serious characters, but a few important characters, like Idi Amin, Mr. Buccaneer, Mr. Philanderer and Mr. Godse play a major role in the story. There are different types of common animals and political animals in the jungle. Every animal has his own caste, religion and their colourful gods. The lions have dominant power over every animal in the jungle as they follow RED religion and RED god, and the tigers that follow GREEN religion and GREEN god feel insecure because of lions' RED GOD politics in the jungle.

After achieving independence from the white European dinosaurs, some lunatic animals, with the help of dinosaurs, split their vast Lionistan jungle into two-LIONISTAN and TIGERISTAN. Many tigers (GREEN god animals) migrate to Tigeristan jungle and join their fellow tigers in the Tigeristan jungle, but majority of tigers stay back and live with the lions and the animals of other faiths in Lionistan as they love their jungle. But they suffer over the years when they're persecuted by both political and bigoted animals for being the followers of the GREEN god and GREEN religion.

Some ambitious Lionistani animals flout dozens of political parties in the jungle for power: Lions' Democratic Unsecular Party of Lionistan (LDUPL), Fox Party of Lionistan (FPL), Buffaloes' Tight Wing Party of Lionistan (BTWPL), Tidy Pigs' Party of Lionistan (TPPL), Lionistan's Democratic Monkey Party (LDMP), Lionistan's Vulture Party (LVP), United Progressive Party of Pigs (UPPP), etc.

Most of the political animals jump in the political fray only to rule the jungle and make money and dump their ill-gotten gains in the European jungles. The wily foxes rule the jungle for decades as their party, FPL, emerges as a major party. The foxes frequently form the FPL governments with the Green animals' (tigers') traditional vote bank and religious and caste politics, albeit some animals rarely form their short-lived cocktail governments (coalition governments) with their fellow animals' support. Over the years, the lions' party, LDUPL, emerges as a main rival of FPL and tries to defeat in every general election, but bite the bullet in so many general elections.

The LDUPL lions feel that they can't win the election unless they polarize the jungle into two religions- RED RELIGION and GREEN RELIGION, and they start playing the imaginary RED GOD TEMPLE politics for years and brainwash the innocent animals into thinking that their RED god was born in the exact place where the GREEN god temple exists, and a massive fight is necessary with the tigers to reclaim the birth place of their god, and finally-under the leadership of Leopold-the lions and the RED-MINDED animals (dogs, wolves, hyenas and pigs) pull down the old GREEN GOD temple in the middle of the jungle, and finally the lions win the general election and form a cocktail government with the support of dogs and wolves, and the foxes feel a jolt of dismay when Stalin becomes the PM of the jungle.
In the end, the LDUPL lions become victorious with majority votes when the ferocious lion, Idi Amin, enters the jungle politics with his powerful oratory and religious politics, and he eventually becomes the Prime Minister of Lionistan jungle, and the whole PANDEMONIUM HALL echoes with the loud MATA and JAI RED GOD slogans.
