She has her photography studio, her best friend Andy, and plenty of love and support. But twenty-eight-year-old Nina Thorn is still traumatized, struggling with nightmares and flashbacks of a terrible ordeal. As a young photojournalist covering the Balkan War, Nina was kidnapped and brutally tortured by the Serbian army-until an unlikely hero came to her rescue. And now, her thoughts of Velimir Leskovar are the only thing that keeps her sane.
When the one man who saved her life is suddenly in need of rescuing himself, Nina drops everything and travels back to the war-torn country of Bosnia with her ex-lover and mentor, Krister. But when a carefully planned rescue takes a dangerous turn, a struggle for survival ensues-and it's not long before surprising enemies and devastating betrayals begin to reveal themselves.
An international thriller exploring love, loyalty, and the difficulties of healing from the past, Out of Time sets a high-stakes rescue mission against an accurate historical backdrop of the Balkan War, with a roller coaster ride of action, intrigue, and romance-all leading to a shocking conclusion.
