About the Book

Ainsworth's romantic tale of the drama surrounding Lady Jane Grey, the "Nine Days' Queen," is restored on oversized pages with a classic, retro style.

William Harrison Ainsworth's brilliant storytelling plunges readers into a tale of romance, intrigue, and betrayal set against the backdrop of the famed Tower of London. Lady Jane, the Great Granddaughter of Henry VII, ascended to the throne of England for just a few days after the death of Edward VI.

Accused of treason and held in the Tower to await her execution, Ainsworth captivates readers with the story of her fate intertwined with the storied history of The Tower of London itself. Originally printed in 1840, The Tower of London is as entertaining today as it was 180 years ago.

Retro Lady Jane Edition Includes:
-7" x 10" restored oversized pages
-Classic type font with retro effects
-19th-century print layout
-Modern vintage-inspired cover design
