About the Book

Am I a good parent? Will my kids turn out alright? How did my parents make it look so easy...or did they? Will my kids resent me as much as I resented my own parents when I was rebelling? How much of this 'Parenthood' thing is hereditary and how much of it is just blind luck? If you've ever asked yourself (or your parents) questions similar to those than you are going to enjoy finding out 'How My Fathers Son Became My Sons Father'. The first book in J.P. Morgans 'Parenthood' series charts his own journey from childhood through to parenthood. What's unique about J.P.'s journey? Nothing at all, in fact its a journey that will sound familiar to many people. Especially if you are either expecting a baby at the moment or have recently become a parent yourself. Parenthood is arguably the most universal common ground that the majority of us will ever tread upon during our lives. The highs, the lows and the brutally honest laughs we all share as we reminisce about our parents and simultaneously look to emulate their performance with our own children. As you follow J.P. Morgans honest funny and heartfelt journey you will also come across short stories, comments and phrases from other parents. Parents of all ages reflecting on how things were better 'in my day' but were somehow also harder! So put the kids to bed early, settle down in a comfortable chair, get back up and bring the kids back into bed a few more times, then settle down again and find out just 'How My Fathers Son Became My Sons Father'.
About the Author: J.P. Morgan was born in Dublin in 1978. He arrived to become the youngest sibling of two sisters and two brothers. After an unremarkable couple of decades he began to develop a flair for the written word. Poems, short stories, birthdays, valentines, fathers & mothers day cards were particular specialties. Fiction however was never a strong suit. The closest a fiction novel ever came to fruition for J.P. was a story called Cold Snap. Centred around a heated love triangle in South East Ireland the story was set against the backdrop of a series of shocking shark attacks off the coast of Wexford. After approximately 95 pages J.P. reviewed his work proudly and thought maybe, just maybe, this could be the book that launched his career. The more pages he reviewed however the less he cud believe his own stupidity. H had spent 95 pages plagerising the first novel he ever read, his favorite book, Jaws. It wasn't even a re-imagining of the classic tale it was a blatant though unaware theft, page by page. File. Select All. Delete. Are You Sure You Want To Delete? F*ck Yes! So fiction is not J.P. Morgans poison. Not yet anyway. For now J.P. only knows how to write one thing well. Himself. That is to say his family. And what more could a writer need to provide all the laughter, tears and character arcs than two typically Irish parents slightly north of 70 years old and two young sons testing his boundaries every day. Being son to his folks is almost as challenging as being a father himself. Who comes out on top? J.P. doesn't care as long as the stories keep on comin'...
