About the Book

Parenting: A Parent's, Grandparent's and Coach's View is an interesting book because of the kaleidoscope of topics addressed that are experienced by all parents in today's world. This self-help book introduces parent led opportunities to develop your child's, cognitive, athletic, character and to accelerate life lesson development and comprehension. It broaches the different parenting styles and outcomes in each environment. Other topics are: nutrition, selecting family activities, specific sports for your child and selecting coaches for your child. The appendix instructs parents how to teach the game of chess to their child. With a masterful understand of children's cognitive and physical development, Coach Edwin's book will encourage, inspire and refresh your creativity in delivering your parenting plan and making needed changes. He shares memories from own childhood and how they have shaped his parenting philosophy. The book is very useful for parents, stepparents, grandparents and nannies that care for children three month old to ten-years-old.
Reader's Review: The Forward Inside book
Parenting: A Parent's, Grandparent's, and Coach's View offers practical advice to help parents/grandparents succeed-in helping their child develop emotionally, physically, and intellectually in relationships in life. It is a how-to book for those parents/grandparents committed to assisting their children to realize their full potential, or a reference guide for parents/grandparents who realize that raising children properly is "a work in progress."
Coach Edwin has learned the lessons offered through lifelong involvement in the world of sports, academics, and recreation.
Coach Edwin realized that parenting in our changing world could be hectic, like being on a treadmill that just won't stop. Parenting can increase stress levels. There's a growing need for parents to be well rounded in making parental choices in order to avoid becoming burned out, confused, and having little time for friends and other pursuits in life.
Coach Edwin realizes that many parents may also carry a tremendous burden of guilt raising their children that adds even more stress. That's no way to live!
If you read and gradually implement the advice Coach Edwin is about to share, which he spells out chapter by chapter in his book, you'll not only enhance your decision making skills on parenting, you'll far exceed the results you are currently experiencing. Specifically, Coach Edwin will focus on how you can maximize your strengths in parenting, and at the same time enjoy a healthier, happier, and well-balanced lifestyle while raising your child. He also addresses selecting recreational activities for your child and who will guide your child through these recreational/ sports activities.
The book will work for you because the ideas in it have worked for parents and children that Coach Edwin has interacted with and coached over the years. His wisdom has been earned by making a few mistakes, as well as by focusing on doing the things that work.
Coach Edwin wants you to know that there is no magic panacea in parenting in our ever-changing world. It takes real effort and commitment to create a positive environment for raising and parenting children. It takes time to implement what you learn about positive parenting. It can be difficult to rid oneself of old habits, beliefs, and rituals. It is a goal of this book to make the information so compelling, it will galvanize the reader to make and take positive action. It is further hoped that the book marks the beginning of a new mission-one with dedication and good parenting at the core. This is an outreached opportunity designed to solidify good parenting and inspire one to positive action.
Thank you, Coach Edwin.
