This book is my take on education, formal and not so formal. We look at simple business principles and goal setting, mentorships and things I wish I would have known at a young age. What a difference it would have made with this handy guide.This book is also about two hometown friends that entered college together then take very different paths. I became an orthodontist while my friend left college and worked in the service industry and eventually started a successful carpet cleaning business. So our paths divided, one with a college degree, the other versed in the education of life and work. We both ultimately became entrepreneurs achieving our goals.I offer simple advice on the potential for big results.
About the Author: Dr. Jeffrey Elenberger has been a practicing Orthodontist in Rocklin, CA since 1993. His family moved from South Dakota to California when he was young and he was raised in the small town of Petaluma in Northern California. He attended junior college at Santa Rosa JC then college at California State University Sacramento. He attended Georgetown University Dental School in Washington DC graduating Magna cum Laude while receiving the American College of Prosthodontists award and a prestigious selection into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honor society. He obtained his specialty training and education at the State University of New York at Buffalo Dental School while serving as class president. Dr. Elenberger has been selected as a Best of the Best Orthodontist in numerous publications and his practice has received several awards for excellence in service. He is a published author in the Journal of the American Orthodontic Society and he also served as an alumni admissions interviewer for Georgetown University. He loves what he does every day, helping people smile and the interaction of such wonderful people inspired him to write his first book and share some of his life lessons on learning and goal setting. He believes that you can achieve great things, following any path but with simple principles applied. Education comes in all forms and we all have the same twenty-four hours a day, so it's a matter of how you choose to spend your day. Education without action is lost potential. Dr. Elenberger loves telling his motivating story to students while speaking at schools, various clubs, and groups. He is always eager to help inspire and motivate young adults to maximize their potential on the path to greatness.
