Masterarbeit aus dem Jahr 2016 im Fachbereich BWL - Unternehmensführung, Management, Organisation, Note: 1.3, Carl von Ossietzky Universität Oldenburg, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die Bank Credit Suisse schätzt, dass der Gesamtumsatz der Unternehmen in der Sharing Economy von $15 Milliarden in 2013 auf bis zu $335 Milliarden im Jahr 2025 ansteigen wird und bereits heute planen Millionen von Menschen weltweit ihre Städtereisen mit Übernachtungen bei privaten Gastgebern oder leihen sich über das Wochenende ein Privatauto. Die vorliegende Arbeit beschäftigt sich mit dieser Art von Geschäftsmodellen, die den Austausch von materiellen und immateriellen Ressourcen zwischen Privatpersonen fördern (Peer-to- Peer (P2P) Geschäftsmodelle). Es wird der Frage nachgegangen, wie profitorientierte P2P Geschäftsmodelle charakterisiert und mit welchen Herausforderungen sie konfrontiert sind, um die bestehende Forschungslücke für diese noch jungen Geschäftsmodelltypen zu füllen und Handlungsempfehlungen bei der Weiterentwicklung oder Neugründung von P2P Unternehmen zu geben. Die Arbeit verfolgt mit dem multiplen Fallstudienansatz eine qualitative Forschungsmethodik, bei der vier P2P Geschäftsmodelle näher betrachtet werden. Auf Grundlage der Analyse der Literatur zu zweiseitigen Märkten und Geschäftsmodellen, wurde das Business Model Canvas (BMC) von Osterwalder und Pigneur (2011) als Rahmen für die Untersuchung der Charakteristiken von P2P Geschäftsmodellen ausgewählt. Die Identifikation von Herausforderungen erfolgt über problemzentrierte Interviews mit den Praxispartnern, für welche zunächst die Herausforderungen von zweiseitigen Märkten, wie das Henne-Ei-Problem oder das Schaffen von Vertrauen, untersucht und anschließend in den Interviews überprüft wurden.
