About the Book

Perdition's Gate is a sequel to U'buntu, Mothman of Africa. Mystery/Suspense/Horror: It is written to appeal to most age groups. This is the story of two imperfect men. One is the protagonist from U'buntu, Dr. John Carter. After an attack by a murderous demon damaged his memory, and left him suffering from blinding headaches, he sought out help. The other man is his psychiatrist, Dr. Wm. Henderson. He never bought into John's story of a monster on the loose in Kenya. He took Carter for a modern day adventurer, charlatan, and murderer, and decided to prove it. After months of therapy, John, though far from healed, considered himself well enough to suspend further therapy sessions, and takes off on a lark with his friend Alan Bloome, to investigate a UFO sighting in New Mexico. Dr. Henderson, armed with nothing more than a copy of Alan Bloome's new book The Devil at 12:01, and Carter's sad saga burned into his brain, travels to Africa. He is determined to retrace John's every step to uncover clues to the death of the young reporter, M Apurna. We have two flawed men at cross-purposes with each other. Each is arrogant in his own beliefs. Each is certain that the world around him, his perceptual realm, represents a totality of truth, yet neither of them is aware that they stand before a gateway to another realm. One populated with entities too frightening to look upon, and with powers too terrible to consider. Toward the end of their journeys, both men willingly stand before perdition's gate. Their passions will force them to enter through the gate, and out into the inter-realm, unaware that death awaits them there. Mysteriously entangled by a cosmic nexus, their presence in the inter-realm leads to a unique struggle between good and evil. This battle will resolve in a strange twist of fates. Carter finally finds relief from his pain and suffering, while Henderson comes face to face with a terror beyond description. In the end, his conceit and pride will cause the death of a close friend, and the fearsome experience he suffers at the hands of an inter-dimensional monster, will scar his soul, and no doubt haunt his every thought for the rest of his life.
