Inhaltsangabe: Einleitung: Die Diplomarbeit "Personalmarketing im Internet" trägt den modernen, virtuellen Rekrutierungsformen Rechnung. Der Erfolg einer Unternehmung ist maßgeblich von der Qualität der Mitarbeiter abhängig. Trotz einer Arbeitslosenzahl von ca. vier Millionen erfordert die Suche nach qualifizierten Arbeitnehmern einen großen verwaltungstechnischen und kostenintensiven Aufwand. Verursacht durch den hohen Spezialisierungsgrad der Unternehmen, ständigen technischen Fortschritt, Internationalisierungen bzw. Globalisierungen wird die Suche nach geeigneten Bewerbern zur Hauptaufgabe erfolgreicher Unternehmen. Diese Umstände erhöhen den Bedarf an einem effektiven Personalmarketingkonzept. Nachdem die Unternehmen das Internet schon seit mehreren Jahren für Werbe- und Marketingmaßnahmen nutzen, liegt es nahe, die internationale Ausrichtung dieses Mediums auch für externe Personalmarketing-Maßnahmen einzusetzen. In der Nutzergruppe befinden sich viele potentielle Bewerber und laut Schneider ist das Internet nach den Tageszeitungen das zweitwichtigste Medium zur Jobsuche bei Hochschulabsolventen. Während die Betreiber von Jobbörsen diesen Trend schon vor mehr als drei Jahren erkannt haben, hat sich die Nutzung unternehmenseigener Internetseiten auch für personalwirtschaftliche Informationen erst seit kurzem durchgesetzt. Ziel dieser Arbeit ist es, eine Bestandsaufnahme der Umsetzung personalwirtschaftlicher Elemente auf unternehmenseigenen Seiten im Internet vorzunehmen. Gang der Untersuchung: Bevor das Personalmarketing im Internet näher untersucht wird, wird das für viele noch neue Medium Internet vorgestellt. Neben den notwendigen technischen Voraussetzungen und den Möglichkeiten der Umsetzung werden kurz die Vor- und Nachteile gegenüber traditionellen Medien aufgezeigt.
