About the Book

English summary: Hermann von Puckler-Muskau was an eccentric nineteenth-century German prince, and also a talented landscaping artist. During a two-year tour of England to polish and refine his understanding of the art of gardens, Puckler-Muskau maintained a regular correspondence with this wife. In these letters, he speaks with experience and taste on the spectacular English displays of nature. Goethe admired this collection of letters so much that he declared it the best book published in recent years.
