About the Author: Steven C. McCartney is a certified physical education teacher in the state of New York - and a swim coach / Instructor. Holding a Masters of Science in Exercise Physiology, Mr. McCartney is the author of the Rockaway Walks fitness column for The Wave, an established Rockaway newspaper published in Queens, New York City.
