Sie werden jedoch vorwiegend im Leistungssport eingesetzt und mit z.T. hohen physiologischen Belastungen in Verbindung gebracht. In den letzten Jahren häufen sich Publikationen, die über bessere Trainingserfolge und Belastungsverträglichkeit eines IT gegenüber einem CT berichten. Unterscheiden sich CT und IT - im direkten Vergleich - hinsichtlich mittlerem arteriellen Druck (MAD), Laktat (La), VO2, RQ während und nach dem Training? Gibt es Unterschiede im Belastungsempfinden (RPE) zwischen den Trainingsmethoden? Wie verhält sich die Herzfrequenz (Hf) nach dem Training? Untersucht wurden n=28 Sportstudenten (Frauen n=12; Männer n=16; 25±3,1 Jahre; BMI = 22,7±2,3; V'O2max = 46,6±9,6 ml/min/kg), die zufällig aus den Sportstudenten der Uni Frankfurt ausgewählt wurden. Nach einem Stufentest (Fahrradergometer mit Spirometrie, alle 3 min Steigerung um 50 Watt bis zur Ausbelastung) wurden die Versuchspersonen (Vpn) randomisiert in zwei Gruppen aufgeteilt und den Gruppen zufällig ein Trainingsprogramm zugewiesen, welches in der darauf folgenden Untersuchungswoche getauscht wurde. Das CT erfolgte bei 70%der Herzfrequenzreserve (Hf-res), bei dem IT wurde während der Belastungsphase mit 5 Schlägen/min über der errechneten Trainingsherzfrequenz (THf bei 70%Hf-res) trainiert, gefolgt von einer aktiven Pause bis zum Erreichen einer Hf von 5 Schlägen/min unterhalb der THf. Die Daten wurden mit einer zweifaktoriellen Varianzanalyse mit Messwiederholung und einem t-Test für gepaarte Stichproben auf Unterschiede überprüft.
