As of now, I believe there is a following of about eight thousand or more, plant-based vegan. Most of the people that use this diet have said that they've tried others, and this was the best for them; low carb vegan such as keto or paleo; and the engine two diets on the opposite side of keto. Some prefer high carb low-fat diets, the detox vegan diet, or even the junk food vegan diet which they love because it proves that being a vegan doesn't have to just stick to healthy 'boring' food but instead can eat amazingly tasty food as well.

This causes weight gain. Another problem for new vegans is they listen to fad diet people. An example of this is viral video sites.
