In the current climate, the actions of police officers are more scrutinized than ever before. Between the critical mainstream media reports and private citizens spreading stories on social media, America's cops are struggling to serve and protect while grappling with increasingly hostile opposition on all fronts.
Author and lifelong police officer Sgt. Dave Caudle, Ret., reaches out to the public with an eye-opening perspective on the duties and challenges police officers are faced with on a daily basis. In a book that is part memoir and part tell-all tale, Caudle offers readers an insider's knowledge of standard police procedures, common scenarios faced by all officers, and the trouble they can find themselves in for simply doing their jobs. Caudle does all this by telling personal stories of incidents on the job, each experienced by him firsthand.
By sharing his many experiences as an officer trying to enforce the law, Caudle attempts to combat mounting misinformation about police actions and help people develop a better understanding of how and why cops do what they do. His defense of police officers serves to bridge the divide between the public and its protectors.
About the Author: After more than twenty years on the force, Sgt. Dave Caudle, Ret., has paid his dues as a law enforcement officer.
