About the Book

Penelope (Poppie) Matthews had reached her limit. She had already been dealt a bad hand at life, having aged out of an orphanage at 18 yr old. Born in Chicago, she knew she had to do what she needed to do to survive. She had a little money left from a dead relative that she barely knew that helped her with an apartment and nothing else. Trying to make a living, Poppie has a temp job to bring in some cash but it's not enough.

Her friend, Shayla, introduces her to a way to make some cash and have fun at the same time. Shayla and her drug dealer boyfriend hosts "Play Parties" and everyone has to pay an entrance fee. Shayla introduces Poppie into the world of being her own pimp.

As luck would have it, the house gets raided and Shayla has no choice but to leave town, leaving Poppie to fend on her own and desperate for cash. Poppie starts using drugs heavily to feel numb as she decides the only way to get money is to pimp herself out.

Just as things start to look bad as they can get, Shayla returns looking and feeling better than ever. She tells Poppie of a win-win situation to make some great cash that would get her off the street but she had to get clean first.

Vanessa McBride is a strong and powerful business woman with an outstanding reach. She owns and runs a very elegant and well established escort service for high profile individuals. She grooms girls to women and pay them well in return. Shayla introduces Poppie to Vanessa and Poppie's world turns around.

Until one fateful night, something happens that leave Poppie and a government official fighting for their lives. Vanessa has everything under control as Poppie is being taken care of under her care. In the meantime, Vanessa's son Sam, has no idea of the level in which his mother's business has grown. However, he is fascinated and intrigued by Poppie and wonders why his mother is giving her so much attention.

Vanessa wants to find a perfect match for her son, Sam, yet she knows he has some secrets that won't be accepted by just anyone. Sam wants his significant other to understand him more than anything and Vanessa believes she's found the one she has been looking for in Poppie.
