Raumplanung, Note: 1,3, Technische Universität Chemnitz (Insitut für Europäische Studien), Veranstaltung: Seminar Humangeografie Ostmitteleuropa, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die Stadt Prag, auch die "Goldene Stadt" genannt, hat seit ihrer Gründung eine einzigartige Geschichte beschrieben. In dieser Seminararbeit soll die Entwicklung der Stadt von ihrer Entstehung, über ihren Aufschwung zur kulturellen und politischen Machtmetropole Mitteleuropas, bis hin zur Moderne beleuchtet werden. Der Schwerpunkt soll hierbei auf den postsozialistischen Stadtentwicklungsprozessen nach dem Fall des Eisernen Vorhangs liegen. Zu Beginn dieser Arbeit wird die Entstehungsgeschichte Prags von seiner ersten Besiedelung an beschrieben. Dabei sollen vor allem die Höhepunkte in den einzelnen Jahrhunderten detailliert herausgestellt werden, die maßgebend Einfluss auf das politische, wirtschaftliche, kulturelle, soziale sowie städtebauliche Geschehen in Prag genommen haben. Die Einteilung der Kapitel beschreibt, aufgrund der Fülle an Ereignissen und der Schwerpunktsetzung, die Stadtgeschichte einerseits vor dem 20. Jahrhunderts und andererseits von Beginn des 20. Jahrhunderts bis zum Ende des Zweiten Weltkrieges sowie von der Nachkriegszeit bis zur Samtenen Revolution und der damit verbundenen Ablösung des kommunistischen Regimes. Die Darstellung der Prager Stadtentwicklung bis zu diesem Zeitpunkt sollen dazu dienen einen klaren Ausgangspunkt für die daran anschließenden Entwicklungen in der postsozialistischen Zeit der Transformation zu skizzieren. Auf dieser Basis werden die wichtigsten Prozesse seit Beginn der 1990er Jahre, wie die Entindustrialisierung der Prager Wirtschaft, die allgemeine Citybildung des Innenstadtbereiches, die Wohnungsmarktsituation für die Prager Bevölkerung und die Suburbanisierung in die Peripherie der Stadt und damit einhergehende Gentrifizierungs
