About the Book

THE STORY OF GREEN TEA: THREE NOVELS

This book is in Romanian. It offers three different novels under the same covers: Stylit, The Crystal Book, and The Story of Green Tea.

"The only Wakean emulation in Romanian literature is Silviu Lupaşcu's Cartea de cristal [The Crystal Book], a collection of short stories that read almost like the chapters of a novel, since the fragments fit together both through common characters, a cogent philosophy and a homogenous style. If there were any accurate description of Lupaşcu as a writer, then Lyotard's definition of the postmodern artist would be the most appropriate. (...) Lupaşcu is by definition a cultural historian who published two impressive monographs on the religious imaginary and on divine language, and there are no pre-given rules by which one can judge his literary experiment."
(cf. Arleen Ionescu, Romanian Joyce. From Hostility to Hospitality, Peter Lang, Frankfurt am Main, 2014, p. 234)

Eric Clapton cu I was a pilgrim for your love...
- You take it easy now, Okay?... If I were you, I'd better sit tight...
