About the Book

From one of Australia's leading coaches, a transformative and paradigm-shattering book about how to build your power - and step into a life full of meaning, purpose, and audacity.

We all know what it's like to feel powerless. But when we let the people and systems that hold power over us define who we are, we give our power away. The truth is, power built internally is stronger than any power bestowed externally. In Power, one of Australia's leading coaches Kemi Nekvapil invites you to stop waiting for power to be handed to you and instead choose it for yourself.

When we live according to the power held over us, we fall into an endless cycle of fear, people-pleasing, burnout, and being "good." But when you rely on the power that comes from within, you stop determining your worth according to what others think. You ask for what you want. You make choices that more closely align with your needs and your values. You no longer deny your capabilities and begin to use your power as a force for good in the world.

Power reimagines what it means to have power, showing why women give it away and how to reclaim it for yourself. Drawing from her journey growing up in foster care, where power was used as a tool for fear and obedience, to living without apology, Nekvapil shows you how to practice, build, and feel your power through the principles of presence, ownership, wisdom, equality, and responsibility. Along the way, she digs into real-life stories from leaders, entrepreneurs, activists, and women across all walks of life who've stepped into their power, guiding you to cultivate your inner force and finally live life on your own terms.
About the Author: Kemi Nekvapil is one of Australia's leading credentialled coaches for female executives and entrepreneurs, an author, and a highly sought-after international speaker. Kemi is a facilitator for the Hunger Project Australia and a regular interviewer of industry icons including Elizabeth Gilbert, Martha Beck, and Marie Forleo. She hosts the podcast The Shift Series.
