L'interprétation pragmatique existe quand la personne peut apercevoir et comprendre non seulement ce que le locuteur veut dire par ses mots, mais aussi le motif du changement de registre et de la manière dont il s'exprime dans différentes situations.

Les activités sont amusantes et conçues pour pouvoir être réalisées sur ordinateur, tablette ou sur des feuilles et des fiches imprimées. Ce matériel s'adresse aux enseignants spécialisés, orthophonistes, ergothérapeutes, Centres d'intégration et Centres d'éducation spécifique. Il peut également être utilisé par les parents, à la maison, avec des instructions précises.

Searle relève cinq catégories basiques d'actes de langage:

  1. Les assertifs ou représentatifs. Le locuteur déclare, affirme et, en général, prend la responsabilité sur la vérité du contenu de la phrase prononcée.
  2. Les directifs. Le locuteur essaie de diriger (convaincre, pousser) l'interlocuteur à faire ou à ne pas faire quelque chose. Ces actes décrivent des demandes, ordres, invitations, propositions, etc.
  3. Les promissifs. Le locuteur s'engage à réaliser une action future. Ces actes décrivent des promesses, des menaces, des offres, etc.
  4. Les expressifs. Le locuteur exprime ses émotions et son attitude. Ces actes décrivent des félicitations, des louanges, des condoléances, des excuses, des plaintes, etc.
  5. Les déclaratifs: Ces actes visent à apporter un changement précis de l'état de choses dans le monde. Ils décrivent des nominations, baptêmes, condamnations, licenciements, etc.
