Human beings have five (!!!) senses. Printed communication (multisensory, cross-media, emotional, personalized) are becoming more important and more powerful than ever before.Those industries which have their origin in individual creativity, skill and talent and which have a potential for wealth and job creation through the generation and exploitation of intellectual property" (DCMS 2001) The creative industries have been seen to become increasingly important to economic well-being, proponents suggesting that "human creativity is the ultimate economic resource" (Florida 2002), and that "the industries of the twenty-first century will depend increasingly on the generation of knowledge through creativity and innovation" (Landry & Bianchini 1995).Creative & Printing Industry what does a 'combined' industry look like? An industry is an 'economic activity concerned with the processing of raw materials and manufacture of goods in factories' probably NOT a 'useable' definition although historically correct.Positioning Creative & Printing in the industry spectrum would look like Primary: Extraction, Secondary: Production, Tertiary: Services, Quaternary: Knowledge.
