About the Book

Pro is a story about a rookie quarterback named Dominic whose dream was to play Professional football. When he decides to leave college early against his mothers wishes, he hires an agent his best friend Marcus recommended nicknamed Papa. Marcus and Dominic go Pro, but Marcus neglects to tell Dominic how shady Papa is. Papa was a college booster when they were playing, and he gave Marcus tons of cash to buy expensive things he wanted. To return the favor, Papa wanted to be both of their agents. Dominic never took money, but he and Marcus had a gambling problem. They racked up an huge debt much so, they were forced to shave points in football games. But Marcus continued gambling. He doubled his debt placing Dominic's name on the list to vouch for him to pay it back. Now that the two are pro, Dominic finds out who Papa really is when he is confronted by the FBI. They inform him, Papa is connected to the Geraldo Crime Family, the Mob. They want Dominic to help them take Papa and the Mob down. Dominic refuses until he is introduced to the head of the Geraldo Crime Family and told to fix games in the pros to pay back his debt. Dominic is clueless until he finds out his best friend set him up. Dominic has no choice since his girlfriend and his family will be collateral if he doesn't do what he is told. To make matters worse, he is on a team that's starting to win for the first time in franchise history, and with Dominic as the man that can take them to the Championship, it adds more salt to his wound. And his teammate TD the pro veteran wide receiver, who has mentored Dominic since he was signed, plans to retire this season, and a Championship ring would go good on his resume. Pressure mounts even more because Dominic wants to win. Marcus wants his life spared and the debt paid. Papa wants to be a made man. The FBI wants Papa and the Mob in prison. TD wants a championship ring. The clock is ticking as time expires for everyone involved in the game of "Pro" football.
