About the Author: Milan Majerník was appointed professor of environmental science by the President of the Slovak Republic in 2001. He has worked at the Technical University in Kosice as Professor of Environmental Management and was national supervisor in this field. Prof. Majerník is a member of the Accreditation Commission for Doctoral Studies, auditor of Environmental Management Systems for the Slovak National Accreditation Service and the Austrian national certification body, Quality Austria. Further experience includes national coordinator of the TEMPUS Project (Austria, Serbia and Slovenia). Appointed Prof. h. c. of the university of Kazakhstan, where he published several scientific monographs in the field of Environmental Engineering and Management. He is currently Professor of Business Economics and Management and Head of the Department of Management at the University of Economics in Bratislava, Faculty of Business Economy with seat in Kosice. In his scientific research and educational activities Prof. Majerník focuses on the issues of economic aspects of environmental and integrated business management and sustainable business development. He is a member of the Council of the Environmental Fund of the Slovak Republic, a member of scientific boards of several universities and journals, recipient of national awards for his contribution in the field of environmental management, engineering and related standardization. He has also received the Minister of the Environment of the Slovak Republic award and the Vladimír List Award for standardization. Prof. Majerník is a sought after expert of the Environmental Impact Assessment.
Naqibullah Daneshjo became an associate professor of production technology in 2008. He worked at the Technical University in Kosice in position Associate Professor. He is a member of the editorial board of several national and foreign journals. He is currently working as an associate professor at the University of Economics in Bratislava Faculty of Business Economy with seat in Kosice. He is an author or co-author of several monographs and textbooks in Slovakia and abroad. He is an author of over 170 scientific articles published in international and national journals and conference proceedings. He participate actively in national and international conferences, exhibitions and competitions in Germany, the Netherlands, Canada, Romania, Russia, Hungary, Austria, Afghanistan, Thailand, Vietnam and Italy. He lectured actively at: Hanoi University of Technology, N. 01 DaiCo Viet, Hanoi and Hanoi University of Agriculture - Viet Nam. He was a team leader and participated in national and international projects.
Martin Bosák works at the Department of Management Faculty of Business Economy University of Economics in Kosice. He earned his higher education and later a PhD degree (1999) at Technical University of Kosice. In 2009 he became prof.h.c. at the Kokshetau University, Kazakhstan. He is an author or co-author of several monographs and textbooks in Slovakia and abroad. He is author of several scientific and professional articles published in international and national journals and conference proceedings. He participated actively in national and international conferences in Kazakhstan, Serbia, Austria, Bulgaria, etc. He is a team leader and participates in national and international projects. He specializes in production management, environmental impact assessment of technologies, waste management and sustainable development.
