About the Author

R.B. KHANNA, a former Indian Army officer of the Corps of Engineers, is an erstwhile Professor of the Indian Institute of Planning and Management (IIPM) Jaipur. He has also been Professor at the Institute of Certified Management Accountants of India (ICMAI), Jaipur; Visiting Faculty in the Department of Management Studies, IIT Roorkee; and Professor and Dean (Academics) at the Institute of Management Studies, Roorkee. A fellow of the Institute of Engineers (India) and an alumnus of Defence Services Staff College, Col. Khanna has also served as Director, Financial Planning at Army Headquarters, New Delhi; Senior Professor and Head of Computers Department at College of Military Engineering, Pune; and Senior Professor and Head of Operations Research at College of Defence Management, Secunderabad.

Col. Khanna is the author of books entitled Quantitative Techniques for Managerial Decisions and Project Management and Production and Operations Management. He has also co-authored a book on Quantitative Techniques for Decision Making along with Dr. M.P. Gupta (all published by PHI Learning) and has several papers and articles to his credit.
