This book consists of many beautiful photographic portraits of the most famous people from the culture of the seventies, such as Andy Warhol, Cassius Clay, Christo, Raphael Alberti, Francois Truffaut, Henry Kissinger, Irene Papas, John Elmore, Nathan Englander, and Julius Evola. Each photo is accompanied by a compelling brief text written by the photographer Sandro Becchetti.
This book is valuable because the reader will appreciate the combination between photography and writing. The photographer was also a gifted writer, capable of increasing through words the expressiveness of the people he photographed. During the seventies, Becchetti worked with the most important Italian newspapers, such as Il Messaggero.
Another precious asset of this book is the inclusion of end pages with thinner paper, which reproduce the pages of the newspapers in which the photos were published, featuring self-portraits and beautiful images of Becchetti's studio in Umbria.
