About the Book

A challenging and provocative book that will be hard to push out of your mind once you have read it; It's claims and promises may challenge you to test them or you may be too much of a cynic to give yourself the chance to believe, yet it will not be a book you will forget very quickly. Some of the author's affirmations may be too bold or direct for some readers, yet their logic, simplicity and provability will be hard to contest. It presents a paradigm-changing alternative to life as you may have always known it. You need not be subject to the old boundaries and limitations, of self, society, tradition, science and religion! You can break free. You can know true freedom, and discover with a shock that it isn't what you thought it would be! Earth-shaking, mind-shattering truths, laid out in a straightforward manner that let you decide for yourself. The language is simple, sometimes odd, and yet it hits the gut in a way that one cannot deny. If you are in a place in your life, where you are seeking a direction or meaning, then you should take the time to read this book; if you know someone who is hurting or in pain, or someone who is facing challenges in life, then you could even gift this book to them; surely many will thank you for it.
About the Author: Hemant Thorat was born in Pune, India, in 1968. He completed his post-graduation in Journalism & Mass Communication, after having obtained a B.A. with distinction, in Psychology from Ferguson College, Pune. He is blessed with a rich spiritual heritage, as his paternal grandfather, Rev. Zingurao Thorat, was a well known and highly respected preacher and pastor associated with the Christian and Missionary Alliance; and his maternal great-grandfather, Shaul Galaji, was a highly spiritual man who had supported young struggling ministers who later went on the lead the larger churches in the city. Hemant's father, Daniel Thorat, being very talented in Indian Classical music and proficient with a variety of instruments such as the tabla, harmonium and sitar, would accompany his father as they went from village to village preaching the Gospel through kirtans (Maharashtrian traditional folk songs). His mother, Elisabeth, teaches Biblical Hebrew and has been very active in children's ministry. Hemant himself accepted the Lord Jesus as His Savior in the evangelistic crusades of Dr. Roger Houstma at the age of 14. He was very active in the church and the youth but later began to drift from the faith. As he passed out of school, he fell in with the bad crowd because of his youthful rebelliousness; and from there it was not too far to alcohol and smoking. He spent several years in the gangs which contained many hard-core criminals but the Lord graciously kept him from committing any crimes himself. But when the leader of the gang began to venture into the occult and witchcraft, Hemant knew he could not stay any longer. He quit the gangs, being the only one who was actually allowed to do so without any adverse consequences. After having sought love in several failed relationships for years, one day the Lord spoke to Hemant and showed him how Hemant had been rejecting the great love with which God had loved him. He then realized that the only thing he wanted to do was serve the Lord. He repented for his old ways and sins and gave himself to the Lord, fully and irrevocably. He welcomes invitations to teach the Word in churches. He makes his home in Pune, India, along with his beautiful wife, Prerna, a lovely daughter, Shekinah, and a wonderful son, Yehoshua.
