About the Book

We live in an ever growing faithless, apathetic society. According to a World Health Organization report in 2019, a child decides to take their own lives every 50 seconds. Therefore, it is not surprising that our high school dropout rate here in America follows suit. This year alone, 3.7 million students will drop out of high school! This means that every 20 seconds, a student somewhere in the USA decides to give up on their future. Imagine if their was a program that would adequately address both of these issues, and not cost you more than the $15.00 dollars that you pay for this book? Purchasing this book also remarkably gives you 24/7 access to the author himself. Skeptical? Why would somebody do this you ask. Because, I want to make a difference. It's not about the money. Terri Bavis (Waterloo (New York) School District Superintendent of Schools) endorses Raiseism: Project H.O.P.E: If you are a superintendent, a principal, a counselor, a teacher, or merely a parent searching for a cost effective dropout prevention program that targets traumatized/high risk/disengaged students, then Raiseism: Project Help Our Pupils Engage is just what you are looking for. Project HOPE is a program that balances the psycho-social and emotional needs of students with interpersonal relationships, physical and mental well-being, and academics. Although there are many organizations and programs all over the world called Project HOPE. There is only one called RAISEISM: Project H.O.P.E. The bottom line is that over the past 5 years we have had 38 of our most at-risk students earn Regents Dipolma's! I've been a counselor and coach for 37 years. Our society is crumbling, and trauma has ravaged youth. The Sudden Loss of family which is caused by divorce, incarceration, death, etc., is destroying us the fabric of our nation. By creating a new environment, our Project HOPE children become a part of a family in which You Are Loved Always (YALA) and You Are Never Alone (YANA). Help me, help our children. Lisa Andino My life has been forever changed by working with Mark Salvatore Pitifer and Project HOPE. The stories of these children have touched my life in a unique and special way. Their honesty, bravery, and resilience is astounding and has given me HOPE for our future generation. By cultivating the seeds of self-discipline, self-awareness, and self-love, we can all reap the harvest of love, joy, and success. NOTES ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Mark Salvatore Pitifer was educated at Hobart and William Smith Colleges/BA Psychology-82, SUNY College at Brockport-84 Masters in Education/Counseling & 90 Certificate of Advanced Study/ Counselor Education, Finger Lakes Community College-79, UCLA-86, and Honorably Discharged from the United States Army in 1991. Mark Salvatore Pitifer has worked as a Guidance Counselor, a Pre-Trial Diversion Counselor, and high school coach for the past 37 years. He is the founder of an original philosophy called Raiseism, the dropout prevention program called Project Help Our Pupils Engage. (Project H.O.P.E.), and his school won the National School of Character Award in 2008. Another beautiful aspect of this program, is that this book RAISEISM: Project Help Our Pupils Engage, is actually a self-help book and parental handbook. It will help educators, parents, counselors, administrators, and even the students themselves. RAISEISM: Project Help Our Pupils Engage is a simple program, it's a short read, and it is written in layman's terms so that it can be easily digested and implemented by all people. As Susan Burgess (Former Waterloo High School and Middle School Principal) states: Mark Salvatore Pitifer walks the walk and talks the talk. He embodies the persona of Counselor. Students can relate to Mark because he has walked in their path of despair and uncertainty. It is his real-life experiences that have molded him into the perfect role model for our Project H.O.P.E. students. Project H.O.P.E
