Biggi Knabe, eine noch wenig bekannte Autorin, legt hier ihren ersten Gedichtband vor. Ihre Liebeslyrik bewegt sich in der ätherischen Sphäre von Traum und Sehnsucht, gestaltet die ewigen Motive von sehrendem Verlangen und dem Glück intimer Vertrautheit, beschreibt aber auch mit feinem Humor den Alltag in einer Partnerschaft.
About the Author: Wolf G. Hermes, geboren 1949 in Mannheim, lebt und arbeitet in Reutlingen. Nach einer langjährigen Tätigkeit als wirtschaftsberatender Mathematiker hat er erst spät, mit 44 Jahren, seine Begabung zum Schreiben entdeckt und erst Ende 2005 sein erstes Werk, den vielbeachteten Episodenroman Erotische Momente, veröffentlicht. In kurzer Folge erschienen danach die Doppelnovelle Sommerlaunen, der große Liebesroman Die Essenz der Liebe, der Gedichtband Süß ist der Augenblick sowie eine Essaysammlung Gespräche mit Celine. Da diese Titel allesamt vergriffen sind, hat sie der Autor in verbesserter Qualität stilistisch überarbeitet im Hardcover-Format neu herausgegeben. Um den inneren Zusammenhang der vier Prosatexte herauszustellen, wurden diese in einer zweibändigen Tetralogie der Liebe zusammengefasst. Deren zweiter Band liegt hier vor. Nach eigener Aussage will der Autor mit seinen Werken eine neue Art von spiritueller Belletristik begründen. Sie folgt der Maxime, das Mystische im Weiblichen und das Weibliche im Mystischen zu entdecken. Und dies, ohne den Aspekt der Wirklichkeit außer Acht zu lassen. Um die letztere Herausforderung zu meistern, hält sich Wolf G. Hermes an sein ästhetisches Prinzip: Wahrheit in Schönheit gestalten. Seit 2003 ist der Autor auch als Übersetzer erfolgreich aus dem Englischen, Französischen und Arabischen tätig. Dabei hat er sich auf Übersetzungen der Schriften Ibn Arabis, eines hochbedeutenden Mystikers aus der Sufi-Tradition, spezialisiert, womit dessen deutschsprachige Rezeption erheblich gefördert wird. Die obengenannte literarische Maxime von Wolf G. Hermes hat ihren Ursprung nicht zuletzt in der Beschäftigung des Autors mit Ibn Arabi, der die Idee des Weiblichen besonders eindringlich in seinen Gedichten thematisiert.
