About the Author: Yves Daudet, né le 22 juin 1940, à Bordeaux.
Professeur émérite de l'Université de Paris I (Panthéon-Sorbonne). Président du Curatorium de l'Académie de droit international de La Haye. Juge ad hoc à la Cour internationale de Justice.
Docteur en droit (1967), (Prix de thèse de la Faculté de droit de Paris et Prix Georges Scelle). Lauréat de la faculté de droit de Paris. Agrégé des facultés de droit (droit public et science politique) 1968. Professeur outre-mer ou à l'étranger, successivement aux Universités de Rabat, Antilles-Guyane, Côte d'Ivoire et Ile Maurice et en France aux Universités Aix Marseille III et Paris 1, Panthéon-Sorbonne.
Directeur d'Unités de formation et de recherche en Martinique, à Aix et à Paris I. Directeur de l'Institut d'études politiques d'Aix-en-Provence (1979-1984). Coordonnateur des études juridiques auprès de l'Attorney General de l'Ile Maurice (1985). Fondateur puis directeur de l'Ecole de droit de l'Ile Maurice (1985-1988).
Premier vice-président de l'Université Paris I de 1999 à 2004. Secrétaire général de l'Académie de droit international de La Haye de 2005 à 2017. Membre du Comité de rédaction de l'Annuaire français de droit international. Membre du Conseil de la Société française pour le droit international. Membre de l'International Law Association.
Cours à l'Académie de droit international de la Haye en 2001.
Chevalier dans l'ordre de la légion d'honneur. Officier in de Orden van Oranje-Nassau. Komtur, Verdienstorden der Bundesrepublik Deutschland, Gran Cruz Orden O'Higgins (Chile).

Maîtrise de droit comparé (Paris I, 1976), DEA de droit international public (Paris I, 1977), DEA de droit international privé et de droit du commerce international (Paris I, 1979), LLM University of Pennsylvania Law School, (1981). Thèse: La reconnaissance et l'exécution des jugements étrangers dans le droit des Etats-Unis d'Amérique (direction Paul Lagarde, Paris I, 1986) .
Professeur émérite de l'Université Panthéon-Assas. Hauser Global Professor, New York University School of Law (2004-2011). Professeure invitée dans de nombreuses universités étrangères, dont Vienne (2020); McGill University Faculty of Law (2017); Padoue (2015 et 2016); Yale Law School (2010); Sao Paolo (2010).
Présidente de la branche française de l'International Law Association (depuis 2014) et Vice Chair de l'ILA mondial (depuis 2016). Présidente du Groupe européen de droit international privé (2018) dont elle est membre fondateur (depuis 1991). Vice-Présidente du Comité français de droit international privé (depuis 2013). Membre du Conseil d'administration de la Société française pour le droit international (depuis 2012). Membre associée de l'Institut de droit international (depuis 2017) et Rapporteur de la Commission 1 sur Investissement et corruption. .
Membre à vie de l'American Law Institute (depuis 2015). Membre de l'Académie internationale de droit comparé (depuis 2011). Membre du Conseil consultatif de l'Académie de droit européen de Trêves (2008-2018). .
