Anastasia Grammaticaki-Alexiou, born 50 1946, in Crete, Greece.

Academic positions: Professor Emerita in the Postgraduate Program of International Studies of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Law School and in the "Art, Law and Economy" Master Program of the International Hellenic University in Thessaloniki (2013-2018). Professor of Law, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Law School (2002-2013). Associate Professor of Law, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Law School (1996-2002). Assistant Professor of Law, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Law School (1984-1996). Lecturer, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Law School (1981-1984).
Visiting positions: Loyola University of New Orleans Law School (1991). Tulane University Law School, New Orleans (1995, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000). Neapolis University Law School, Paphos, Cyprus (2012-2018).

Member of the Committee of the Greek Ministry of National Economy responsible for the promulgation of the law on factoring (1988).
, Other activities: Member of the Greek Committee of Private International Law of the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs (since 1983). In this capacity has represented the Greek State in several conferences of the Hague Conference on Private International Law; Vice President (2008-2012) and President (since 2012) of said Committee. Judge at the Special Supreme Court of Greece for five years. General Coordinator of the special study group of the Center of the European and International Economic Law of Thessaloniki, working on behalf of the Greek Ministry of Culture, on the issue of licit and illicit international traffic of cultural goods. Member of the Committee of European Programs of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Member of the Disciplinary Committee of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Member of the International Academy of Comparative Law. Member of the International Law Association. Member of the Greek branch of International Federation of European Law (FIDE). Member of the Hellenic Association of Private International Law. Member of the Editorial Board of the Revista Jurídica Digital UANDES, Chile. Served in the past as Contributing Editor of Tulane Law Review; member of the International Advisory Board of International Programs, College of Law, Loyola University of New Orleans; member of the Scientific Board of the Union for Democracy in the Balkans; member of the Advisory Board, University of Cyprus Law School; founding member of the National Committee of the Blue Shield, Greece. Has lectured in many law schools around the world (United States, Australia, Italy, Turkey, Croatia, Slovakia and Cyprus). Attorney-at-law for twenty-five years at the Thessaloniki Bar Association, Greece.
