About the Book

Thirty-five year-old Middleburg Homicide Detective, Mitch Maxum has a hard time believing he can make himself invisible, move things with his mind, and even teleport his body using telekinesis. There are many superhuman things he realizes he can do after he unintentionally communicates with a sympathetic dying enforcer alien. Mitch journeys back to his childhood to find his true origins, and discovers he is part of an extraterrestrial genetic manipulation experiment along with nine other human children. At age eight the aliens infuse them with extraterrestrial intelligence that makes them geniuses. The United States Government's Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) desperately wants the alien intelligence to further their world domination of new innovative technologies. The children and their families refuse to cooperate and the CIA considers their decision a threat to United States National Security because of the priceless alien intelligence they carry. Other nations or terrorist organizations will do anything including kidnapping to obtain this advanced alien intelligence that will shift the balance of the world's superpowers. Three years later the children and their families are all thought to be dead at the hands of the CIA. Genius Mitch the lone survivor outwits the CIA's Special Forces Commandos in a dense North Texas forest where he is left for dead after he witnesses the murder of his entire family. Mitch changes his identity and for 24-years forges a new hidden life in the small town of Middleburg, Florida. He becomes a loving husband, father, and respected and decorated 15-year police homicide detective. His new life is shattered when the aliens commit their most atrocious act-the deliberate and vicious abduction of his four year old son Jason from his very own possession. Mitch has no other recourse but to report the alien abduction as a kidnapping or face being arrested and court ordered into a maximum security mental health facility for the criminally insane by the Middleburg Police Department. Red Halos will appeal to fans of Alien Conspiracy Sci-Fi, Military Sci-Fi, and even Crime Mystery Police novels. It is an action-packed, whiplash-inducing roller coaster ride. Page after page, this unpredictable and action packed nail biter will keep readers guessing until the very end!
