About the Book

The year is 2079 and colonizing Mars is about to become a very dangerous business. Corporations are the drivers of a process that governments desperately want to regulate. Investors expect massive profits from taking such risks. With the world teetering on global catastrophe, Xavier Pentagrass has been sent to Mars to run the Red Planet Pioneer Corporation. As all are about to find out it will soon become his personal cause. The technology driving the colonization process is the development of a new android race known as Dextoids. Breakthroughs in quantum computing have allowed for their manifestation. Humanity has grown to rely upon these creations for every single facet of their existence. Out in the barren plains of Mars two Dextoids have escaped their minders. Their extensive knowledge can't prepare them for freedom. Unhinged from humanity, they will shape the attitude for how the Red Planet will be colonized, and how mankind will treat the Dextoid population for years to come. A genetically engineered adventure, welcome to Red Planet Pioneer.
About the Author: R. Vincent Tibbetts was raised in Western Pennsylvania during the 1970's when the professional football team captured the heart of a city. The town immersed itself in a culture of winning until the sudden death of the steel industry. Witnessing the economic shockwave ripple across communities from the gutting of such an industrial might had an impact on his psyche. It led him to see his surroundings in a new light, growing to have an appreciation for the workings of the natural world, how things work, and developing a mindset for conservation. His interests in art, photography, and film production brought him to California and a career in the entertainment business where he is a Chief Lighting Technician and Studio Electrician. He is an entrepreneur at heart. His hobbies include beach volleyball, softball, golf, hiking, camping, and surfing. Red Planet Pioneer is his first literary endeavor. He resides in Long Beach, California.
