Yet the vine continued to grow and even bloom bright red. Even walking passed that house in the day time could give you a good case of the heebe-geebies. When he could no longer stand the suspense, Bill decided to investigate and went to the newspaper office. After all it was as good a place to begin looking for ancient information as any place. The house had been empty for so long, he didn't even know who had owned it. Perhaps the newspaper office had some dusty, old files that mentioned what happened in that house. About the Author: Uli Ortmayer was born in Austria and immigrated to the United States as a young child. She has been a teacher for 27 years and is currently a high school special education teacher. She lives in a small town in South Texas with her two cats, Cleopatra and Ramses.
