Although the book's contributors come from diverse backgrounds, their writing and arts provide a natural context for human connectivity. Whether inspired by a physician-patient interaction or personal event, these pieces represent the creative process that begins with reflection and better understanding of one's own personal journey. They contain elements of their humanity and individualism. It is hoped that the author's and artist's messages reveal for the reader, the often surprising, and inspiring events encountered during their lives and years of medical practice.
