About the Author: Megan M. Echevarría (PhD, University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill) is Professor of Spanish and Film Studies at the University of Rhode Island. Dr. Echevarria specializes in Hispanic literary, cultural, and film studies. Her publications include articles and book chapters on literary and film studies and a literary reader for ¡Anda! Intermedio program (2010, 2013).
