La llegada de los hombres con cascos. El encuentro de dos culturas que convergen en un tiempo y espacio y en poco tiempo toda la franja istmeña tomo importancia desde los tiempos de la colonización como punto estratégico para el enlace estratégico comercial.
Las vidas se entremezclan con los personajes que llegaron al istmo y que por circunstancias difíciles por el clima decidieron tirar todos sus sueños. Otros que pudiendo quedarse formaron familias y concretar sus sueños.
Es que los grandes negocios de cada una de las épocas que marcan la innovación tienen repercusiones en el Istmo. Con la gran industrialización de la empresa automotriz, se hizo necesario la búsqueda de tierras para la siembra de plantas del caucho; insumo importante para el uso en la manufactura de piezas para la industria del momento; fabricación de los automóviles y los neumáticos. En esta búsqueda se encuentran con el descubrimiento de originarios blancos en las selvas inhóspitas del Darién. Hecho que provoca la investigación por parte de científicos de primera línea.
La revelación del pueblo Guna ante las autoridades del momento, esta acción a las respuestas a las acciones de occidentalización de su pueblo tomando acciones de fuerza degradación y humillaciones acciones forzada de vejámenes por parte de autoridades que fueron sometidos por varios años.
La diáspora ha sido la constante en la historia de la humanidad, y el Istmo es un espacio donde confluye ciudadanos de diversas culturas y continentes. Han sido las grandes obras, un imán atractivo en la contaste migración.
Un espacio físico donde migrantes chinos llegan para la construcción del ferrocarril en el Istmo del Darién, huyendo de las restricciones del uso del opio y la grave crisis social y como se encuentran con otra realidad lejos de sus tierras.
